San Francisco Food Bank

150,000 San Franciscans are at risk of going hungry - that's 1 in 4 children and 1 in 5 adults. Last year, the San Francisco Food Bank sourced, collected, sorted, inspected, repackaged and distributed 33.5 million pounds of food – and more than half of that was fresh produce. Hungry people get our food from over 200 neighborhood grocery pantries, at soup kitchens, senior centers and in schools. For every $1 donated, the San Francisco Food Bank is able to supply $9 worth of food.
